About Cattail.Nu SpaceCube
Cattail.Nu SpaceCube is a spatial measuring tool for Apple Vision Pro. Your real surroundings stay visible, and the cubes you place float among them. Each cube is a see‑through marker. Once cubes are placed, the app reads out where each one sits, how it is turned, and the distances, angles, slopes, and level between them.
What a cube is
A cube is a 10 cm (about 4 inch) see‑through box with three labeled faces — top, front, and right — and a letter from A to L. Its exact center is the pivot point, and every measurement is taken from there. Move a cube with a one‑hand pinch, turn it with a two‑hand pinch, or type its position and rotation in exactly with EDIT. You can have up to 12 cubes at once.
What Cattail.Nu SpaceCube shows you
- Cube window — floats above each cube. Shows that cube's position and rotation in both World and Local space, and holds its buttons.
- Measurement window — floats over the line between every pair of cubes. Shows the straight‑line distance, the X/Y/Z separation, a spirit level, and the slope, angle, and pitch of the line.
- Angle window — a small readout beside each cube, showing the angles that cube makes between two others, in degrees and radians.
- App window — a flat panel that stays in your Shared Space. It starts, saves, restores, and pauses the workspace, undoes cube moves, and holds the workspace‑wide controls.
With four or more cubes out, Show Solid also draws the shape that wraps them all, straight into the room.
The two frames of reference
Every position and rotation is reported two ways at once:
- World space — the fixed frame of your immersive space, set when the workspace opens.
- Local space — a frame you set yourself so location numbers and rotations start there.

Saving your work
Your layout is saved between sessions and pinned to your immersive space, so Restore puts the cubes back where you left them. Save a .spacecube file and open it again any time. You can also export the numbers as a TXT report, or save a 3D model — USDZ, OBJ, or STEP, with 4 or more cubes (see Concept - File Types).
